Lake of the Ozarks AI is a one-person-led shop by design. When you hire us, you work directly with the person who builds your system, documents it, and keeps it running. No account managers, no offshore queue, no handing you a login and wishing you luck.
I went to law school at UMKC and earned my Juris Doctor, but my path into AI didn't run through a tech company. It ran through the work itself. As a professional writer, I produced more than 3,000 legal articles for LegalMatch, one of the largest legal platforms in the country, using AI-assisted systems I built and refined myself to do it accurately and at scale. That's not a course I took. It's a thing I actually did, day after day, until I understood exactly where these tools are reliable and where they aren't.
From there I went deeper. I train and evaluate AI models professionally, which means I spend my time studying how these systems behave under the hood, not just typing prompts into them. I built and automated Rural News Wire, a local-news platform that runs on a live, self-updating AI pipeline. I've authored more than fifteen published books, many in legal and technical reference. Before any of that, I worked as a newspaper editor out West, which is where I learned that the words you put in front of people have to be right.
And I'm not a transplant or a remote vendor. My family has deep roots at the Lake of the Ozarks going back generations, including a long history in construction and infrastructure here. This is my community. When I tell a contractor or a rental owner or a local attorney that I'll be accountable to them, it's because we're part of the same place.
Most AI help comes from a generalist agency that doesn't understand your work, or a remote freelancer who's never set foot at the Lake. I'm neither, and the way I work reflects that.
I don't sell you a tool and disappear. I learn how your business actually runs, build the system around your tools and your voice, document it, train your team, and then stay on to run and improve it. You're buying a result, the time back, the leads caught, the work handled, not a subscription you have to figure out yourself.
And because I hold a law degree and evaluate AI for a living, compliance and reliability aren't afterthoughts. They're built in from the first conversation, especially for the law firms and regulated businesses I work with.
These aren't marketing lines. They're the rules that decide how every system gets built and run.
A short, free assessment of where AI could save you the most time, what it would take to build, and whether it's even worth it. You'll talk to me, not a salesperson.
